The highly anticipated Monaco Yacht Show is set to return to Port Hercule from 25 to 28 September 2024. Following a summer packed with various events, the harbor will undergo a transformation starting on 31 August, as preparations begin for the arrival of 560 exhibitors at this prestigious superyacht showcase.
Road Closures and Traffic Adjustments
To accommodate the setup of the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, several road closures will be implemented. Key areas such as Quai des Etats-Unis/Avenue J.F. Kennedy and Quai Antoine Ier will be closed starting from 9 September. Additionally, the Route de la Piscine will be inaccessible for two weeks due to the logistical demands of constructing exhibition stands. However, traffic on this route will be allowed in the Portier-Quai Antoine Ier direction during morning rush hours, except for the day before the Show opens and the three days following its conclusion.
Managing Traffic and Parking During the Event
As the Yacht Show draws near, there will be parking bans and restrictions for vehicles and pedestrians, including complete closures in certain areas. Despite these disruptions, measures will be in place to maintain traffic flow during peak times. Parents dropping off children at nearby schools and delivery services will benefit from temporary traffic diversions. For those on two-wheelers, alternative parking will be provided on Avenue de la Quarantaine once Quai Antoine Ier is occupied.
While public access to Port Hercule will gradually resume from 29 September, normal operations are not expected to be fully restored until 10 October. The 33rd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show promises to be an event worth the temporary inconveniences, as the world’s most luxurious yachts and industry leaders converge in the heart of the Principality.
