Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, took part in the Principality’s traditional late-summer gathering on Saturday, September 6. The annual picnic, known as “U Cavagnëtu,” was held in the leafy grounds of Parc Princesse Antoinette and brought together residents of Monaco in a spirit of community celebration.

Organized by the Mairie de Monaco, the open-air event has long marked the close of the summer season. Each year, it offers a rare opportunity for Monegasques to come together alongside the Princely Family, reinforcing civic ties in a convivial and festive setting.

The day began with an outdoor mass, celebrated in the presence of the choir U Cantin d’A Roca. Following the service, the picnic unfolded with musical performances that added to the atmosphere of camaraderie. This year’s program included a performance by the folkloric ensemble La Paladienne, whose participation underscored the event’s deep cultural roots.
