Monaco's High School Students Advance in Annual Literary Critique Competition

In a gathering that underscores the Principality's commitment to fostering young literary enthusiasts, high school students and their teachers convened on Wednesday at the Auditorium of Lycée Rainier III. The meeting focused on discussing the progress of their readings and preparing video capsules in which they will defend their chosen works.

The "Coup de Coeur des Lycéens" initiative, held annually, transforms participating students into bona fide literary critics. Established in 2007, the award is selected from a curated list of debut novels published during the September literary season. Through this educational project, Monaco's Directorate of National Education, Youth, and Sports aims to sensitize students to the world of contemporary literature and publishing.

The winner of this year's edition will be announced in the autumn, during the proclamation ceremony for the Prince Pierre Foundation Awards.
