In a fusion of luxury hospitality and cultural exploration, Le Méridien Beach Plaza has launched "Celebrating The Riviera," a temporary exhibition showcasing contemporary artworks inspired by the French Riviera's landscapes and seascapes. Running from September 9, 2025, to January 9, 2026, in the hotel's lobby, the show marks a new season in partnership with Tanya Baxter Contemporary, an internationally renowned gallery with over 25 years of experience in the global art market.
The exhibition features pieces by four artists: Pip Todd-Warmoth, Paul Hughes, Carol Bruton, and Jesse Grylls, each capturing the region's romanticism, natural beauty, and elemental power. Todd-Warmoth, known for his evocative renderings of the French Riviera, presents oil-on-board paintings such as "View over Monaco Harbour, Larvotto Beach" (2011, 112 x 94 cm) and "View of the Casino from the Promenade" (2011, 100 x 150 cm), blending romanticism with precision to evoke mood, memory, and architectural elegance.

Hughes offers a meditative take on natural elements, with acrylic works like "Screaming for Joy / Three Types of Beautiful Rain" (2025 triptych, parts 1,2,3, 30 x 24 cm each) and "Screaming for Joy 'Tumult sky'" (2025, 30 x 24 cm), drawing connections between land, sky, and sea through vibrant color and texture. Bruton, a local artist, explores the mystery and movement of the sea in eco-resin and yacht varnish pieces, including "Bubbles" (installation, each segment approximately 25 x 25 cm) and "Whispering Waves" (2025, 68 cm), infusing her abstract works with Mediterranean light and rhythm.

Grylls brings a fresh perspective to marine and riverside subjects, using fluid brushstrokes and bold color in mixed-media canvases like "Riviera I & II" (30 x 40 cm), reflecting the spontaneity of the ocean and shifting inland hues.

Sponsored by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, a passionate environmental advocate, the exhibition celebrates not only the Riviera's landscape but also its cultural significance. It forms part of Le Méridien's Unlock Art™ program, a signature initiative in collaboration with the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM), offering guests complimentary access to partner cultural institutions. By presenting their room key, visitors can explore the museum's exhibitions, extending the artistic experience beyond the hotel walls.
Nestled in the prestigious Larvotto district, Le Méridien Beach Plaza is Monaco's only hotel with a private beach. Its 398 rooms and suites offer spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and cityscape, complemented by four restaurants and bars that redefine sun-soaked living: Muse Monte-Carlo serves Mediterranean cuisine beneath the pines; Smakelijk offers a contemporary take on Belgian brasserie; Alang Bar evokes the spirit of a beach club; and Le Café Lacoste blends elegant design, creative cuisine, and a sporty atmosphere. The property, with its sea club and state-of-the-art conference facilities, can host up to 2,000 guests for events.
This initiative underscores Le Méridien's vision of transforming hospitality into a platform for vibrant artistic programs, enriching every moment of the journey for destinations, local talents, and curious travelers.
