In a gesture underscoring Monaco’s commitment to sport as a tool for social good, Minister of State S.E.M. Christophe Mirmand toured the headquarters of Peace and Sport on a recent afternoon. There, he met with the organization’s president and founder, Joël Bouzou, to review its global initiatives. Peace and Sport, which operates under the high patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, deploys athletic programs to foster peaceful, inclusive, and equitable communities in regions affected by conflict or poverty. During the visit, Mr. Mirmand explored the organization’s facilities and discussed ongoing missions that leverage sport to bridge divides and promote development. The encounter highlighted the principality’s sustained support for the nonprofit, which has expanded its reach since its founding in 2007. Mr. Bouzou, an Olympic medalist in modern pentathlon, briefed the minister on current field projects and strategic priorities.
