On Monday, July 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., His Excellency Mr. Christophe Mirmand was officially sworn in as the new Minister of State of the Principality of Monaco, marking a significant moment in the nation’s governance. Appointed by Sovereign Ordinance on July 2, 2025, Mirmand took the oath of office before His Serene Highness Prince Albert II in a ceremony steeped in tradition at the Princely Palace.

The event unfolded with quiet dignity, beginning with an audience granted by Prince Albert II. Her Serene Highness Princess Charlène joined the Sovereign for this solemn occasion, underscoring its importance. The couple then proceeded to the Hall of Mirrors, where a distinguished assembly awaited, including Ms. Yvette Lambin Berti, Secretary of State, members of the Princely Government, representatives of the Prince’s Cabinet, and Mirmand’s wife and daughter.

In the Hall of Mirrors, Prince Albert II invited Mirmand to take the oath after the text was read aloud. Raising his right hand, Mirmand solemnly declared, “I swear,” pledging his commitment to serve the Principality. Ms. Lambin Berti then read the official record, formalizing the act and cementing Mirmand’s role as Monaco’s new Minister of State.

As Mirmand steps into his role, the Principality looks to his leadership to navigate its future with the same grace and resolve displayed in this historic moment.
