On Tuesday, September 30, Prince Albert II of Monaco undertook an official visit to Aix-en-Provence, invited by Mayor Sophie JOISSAINS. The journey highlighted the deep historical ties between the Grimaldi family and the city, with a special nod to Cardinal Jérôme Grimaldi’s legacy.
The itinerary included a ceremonial welcome and the dedication of a commemorative plaque, followed by a cathedral tour. A reception at the Musée Arbaud à l’Académie des sciences, agriculture, arts et belles-lettres d’Aix marked the prince’s recent appointment as an honorary member.
