Monte-Carlo is poised to welcome back F(ê)aites de la Danse, an open-air dance festival set to transform Place du Casino and the Casino Terraces into a vast dance floor under the stars. Celebrating the art of dance for all, the two-day event, scheduled for July 8 and 9, 2023, promises an assortment of music and dance genres, combining professional performances and public participation.
The event, first held in 2017, is once again being jointly organized by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Prince's Government, and Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. It is masterminded by Jean-Christophe Maillot, the Choreographer-Director of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
Over 250 dancers and artists will share their love for dance with the public, offering a rich program that includes a dance marathon, Guinguette, a giant ballet barre, workshops on dances from around the world, a flash mob, choreographic performance, open-air disco, orchestras, ballroom dancing, inclusive dance, and a unique Sunday morning DétOx event.
Maillot extends an open invitation: "This event that we are preparing to experience together will provide a unique opportunity. Children and adults, families and hardy festival-goers, professionals, amateur dance school students or complete beginners, residents of the Principality or passing tourists... We invite 'everyone' to experience this great gathering [...] We challenge you to accompany us until dawn and beyond!"
F(ê)aites de la Danse promises to be a lively celebration, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities in a shared love for dance. This event exemplifies the unique charm of Monte-Carlo - a city that embraces art, culture, and shared experiences.
