The Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival is set to bring a blend of humor and stardom to the Grimaldi Forum later this month. Directed by renowned Italian comedian Ezio Greggio, the festival is dedicated to celebrating comedy in cinema and will take place from November 27th to 30th.
Ezio Greggio, celebrated for his roles in *Drive In*, *Striscia la Notizia*, and *The Silence of the Hams*, founded the festival alongside the late Mario Monicelli. Now in its 21st edition, the event thrives under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Italian Embassy, cementing its reputation as a hub for comedic excellence.
Heading this year’s jury is French actress Anne Brochet, known for her César-winning role in *Tous les Matins du Monde*. Brochet, whose filmography includes *Cyrano de Bergerac* and *Le Hérisson*, will be joined by Italian actors Federica Sabatini (*Suburra: The Series*) and Ricky Memphis (*Immaturi*), along with Alain-Fabien Delon, actor and son of iconic star Alain Delon.
The festival offers a variety of programming, from competitive screenings to public showcases, with an emphasis on short films. Aspiring filmmakers will also have a chance to shine in the Short Comedy Award category, celebrating innovative and humorous storytelling in brief formats.
Masterclasses led by industry professionals will provide deeper insights into the art of comedy filmmaking, while public screenings ensure there’s something for everyone. The festivities will culminate in a grand gala and awards ceremony on November 30th, promising a glamorous finale to a week of laughter.
With its unique focus on humor, the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival continues to highlight the enduring appeal of comedy, while bringing together artists and audiences for an unforgettable celebration of the genre.
