Last week, around 60 influential women from the Principality of Monaco gathered for the ninth edition of the Women of Monaco Lunch, raising close to €20,000 for the Monaco Aide et Présence (MAP) charitable association.
On Tuesday, June 11th, the gardens of the Hôtel Hermitage hosted this impactful event, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds. Organized by Sandrine Knoell of Five Stars Events, the spring edition honored the tireless efforts of the MAP association, with its president, Donatella Campioni, in attendance.
The event was both sociable and philanthropic, with generous donations and an active charity auction. The auction's highlight was a day trip for eight on a classic Riva, fetching €5,000. By the end of the event, €19,000 was raised.
"Thank you all so much for supporting MAP; I am very proud of what we have achieved so far and look forward to making even more of an impact," said Campioni.
The funds will support MAP's projects in Ethiopia, helping young girls avoid and escape child marriages and providing them with education and essential support. Over its 45-year history, MAP has financed over 1,200 projects in 28 countries, providing more than €27 million in aid.
The Women of Monaco Lunch also featured engaging presentations, including a ‘Women in Finance’ talk by Montserrat Marchetti and Aude Berrin from Barclays Private Bank Monaco, and an insightful discussion on 'Transmission in International Families: Some Tactical Issues' by Maître Géraldine Gazo from CMS Monaco.
Art and fashion were integral parts of the event, with artworks by Monaco-based artist Olga Volga on display and a fashion show by Isabel Fargnoli, a Monaco resident who recently opened her store in Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo mall, showcasing her designs.
