The Principality has introduced new annual compliance requirements for registered businesses. Announced on July 19th, the Monaco Government mandates that all civil companies must verify their registration status with the Special Register of Civil Companies (Registre Spécial des Sociétés Civiles) every year.
Under this new regulation, companies must submit a confirmation of their registration within one month following their anniversary date of initial registration. This annual submission must include an update of all registered information, capturing any changes made throughout the year. This holds even if companies have previously submitted modification declarations during the year.
Businesses can access the required form through the Mon Entreprise portal, available online 24/7 under the legal and accounting obligations section of the Trade and Industry Register. For those preferring physical documents, the form can also be obtained from the Economic Development Directorate (Direction du Développement Economique).
Once filled out, the form must be sent or submitted in duplicate to the Trade and Industry Register Service. A registration fee accompanies this process: €25 for particular civil companies and €50 for civil joint-stock companies.
These new measures underscore Monaco's commitment to international compliance and financial transparency, ensuring all registered entities maintain up-to-date records annually. The initiative marks a significant step towards robust regulatory practices in the principality.
