To mark the 70th anniversary of the wedding of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly, Monaco’s Museum of Stamps and Coins has unveiled a special exhibition dedicated to one of the most iconic moments in the Principality’s history.
Running until 15 October 2026, Marriage of the Century in Philately and Numismatics explores how the 1956 royal wedding was commemorated through rare postage stamps, medals, first-day covers, souvenir cards and historical documents. The exhibition offers visitors a fascinating insight into the global impact of the marriage and the lasting legacy it created for Monaco.
The wedding of Prince Rainier III and Hollywood star Grace Kelly captured worldwide attention, transforming Monaco’s international image and becoming a defining chapter in its modern history. The occasion inspired an extraordinary collection of commemorative pieces, many of which are now considered highly sought-after collectors’ items.
