Travel between the French Riviera and New York is becoming easier than ever. La Compagnie, the boutique airline renowned for its all-business-class service, has announced that its direct route between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport will continue throughout the winter 2026/2027 season, marking the first year-round connection between the Côte d’Azur and New York.
The route, which resumed in May 2026, has proven particularly popular among both American visitors travelling to the French Riviera and European passengers seeking a convenient transatlantic connection without passing through Paris or other major hubs. Following strong demand during the summer season, La Compagnie has decided to maintain the service beyond October, when it was originally scheduled to end.
During the winter season, the airline will operate two flights per week in each direction. Departures from Nice are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays, while return flights from Newark will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
The announcement comes at a time when transatlantic travel continues to grow across the Côte d’Azur. In 2025, more than 300,000 passengers travelled between the region and the United States on direct routes, making the French Riviera the best-connected destination in France to the American market after Paris. The extension also follows the recent expansion of Terminal 2 at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and the launch of new long-haul services, reinforcing the airport’s ambitions to strengthen year-round international connectivity.
Founded in 2013, La Compagnie has built its reputation around a simple concept: offering a premium transatlantic experience exclusively dedicated to business-class travellers. Its fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft is configured with just 76 fully flat-bed seats, creating an intimate onboard atmosphere more reminiscent of a private club than a traditional airline cabin.
In addition to Nice, the carrier operates regular flights between Paris Orly and Newark, as well as services from Milan Malpensa, making it one of the few airlines in the world focused entirely on all-business-class transatlantic travel.
For Riviera residents, business executives and international travellers alike, the extension of the Nice–New York route represents a welcome development — bringing one of the world's most dynamic cities within easy reach throughout the year.
