The Côte d’Azur will soon be even closer to the United States. Delta Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct service linking Nice and Boston, with the first flight scheduled for 17 May 2026.
The connection will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—expanding Delta’s network on the French Riviera and further reinforcing Nice’s role as a transatlantic hub. With this addition, the airport will now offer seven direct connections to North America, including established routes to New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Montreal.
For the airport, this announcement represents both a strategic expansion and a vote of confidence from one of the world’s leading airlines. Franck Goldnadel, president of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, welcomed the news, noting that the new route “strengthens economic and tourist ties with the United States” and aligns with the airport’s long-standing partnership with Delta.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is already France’s second busiest travel hub after Paris, having welcomed 14.8 million passengers in 2024. With 122 direct destinations served by 59 airlines, the Riviera gateway continues to enhance its international profile, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
The introduction of the Boston route reflects the growing demand for direct travel between the French Riviera and North America. It also underscores Nice’s importance not only as a tourist hotspot but also as a center for business exchanges, conferences, and cultural ties.
With its thriving luxury market, iconic Mediterranean coastline, and proximity to Monaco and Italy, the Côte d’Azur remains a key destination for American travelers. The new service will offer them greater access—and give locals a direct link to one of the United States’ most historic and dynamic cities.
