Monaco is once again poised to welcome the international dog elite, as the 2025 edition of the Monaco International Dog Show takes center stage on 10–11 May. This year, the stakes are higher than ever: the event serves as an official qualifier for Crufts 2026, the crown jewel of global dog shows.
Held indoors in the heart of the Principality, this eagerly anticipated event will draw breeders, handlers, and canine connoisseurs from around the globe. A panel of acclaimed judges, including Céline Bottussi-Jocquel (France), Ilaria Biondi de Ciabatti (Peru), and Laurent Pichard (Switzerland), will evaluate contenders across a wide spectrum of breeds and classifications. Judges from Italy, Spain, Romania, Ireland, and Finland will also lend their expertise to this prestigious occasion.
Beyond the spotlight of competition, the show offers vital breed confirmation sessions — an essential step for dogs seeking to meet official standards. These will be held from 2pm to 3pm on both days without the need for pre-registration, provided attendees bring the necessary paperwork and a €35 fee. Confirmation is complimentary for dogs already entered in one of the competition classes.
Strict guidelines remain in place to maintain fairness and animal welfare standards. Dogs with cropped ears will not be allowed, and entries in the Champion Class will not be eligible for the Monégasque Championship's CACM title.
With all registration spots filled, this year's edition underscores the continued prestige and popularity of Monaco’s long-standing canine showcase. As the Principality becomes a runway for four-legged stars, the Monaco International Dog Show reaffirms its role as a key player in the global dog show circuit — and a stepping stone to the world-famous Crufts stage.
