Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends Commonwealth Day in London

Prince Albert II of Monaco traveled to London on Monday, March 9, at the invitation of the Commonwealth Secretariat to participate in the annual Commonwealth Day observances, marking a gathering of member nations focused on shared prosperity.

The event, held each year on the second Monday in March, unites countries from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Americas, the Pacific and Europe. This year's theme, "Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth," emphasized collaborative efforts to foster economic and social advancement among the organization's diverse membership.

The day's proceedings began with a ceremonial service at Westminster Abbey, attended by members of the British royal family. Prince Albert was present alongside Evelyne Genta, Monaco's ambassador to the United Kingdom.

In the evening, King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted Prince Albert at St. James's Palace during an official reception organized for the occasion.
