Prince Albert II of Monaco, the reigning sovereign of the Principality of Monaco, concluded an official visit to Paraguay with a tour of the Paraguayan Olympic Park in Luque, near Asunción, underscoring the growing international collaboration in Olympic sports development.
The visit, hosted by Julio Ferrari, vice president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, included a delegation from Monaco. Prince Albert was welcomed at the park, where he viewed a presentation tracing the site’s history and an overview of the Paraguayan Olympic Center’s ongoing programs.
Accompanied by the delegation, the sovereign toured the facility by golf cart, pausing at several stations to observe live demonstrations and greet athletes in training.

The itinerary concluded with a brief interview conducted poolside at the newly inaugurated 50-meter Olympic swimming facility, which opened in July in the presence of national and international dignitaries.

Built to World Aquatics standards, the aquatic center features a dedicated diving well alongside essential infrastructure designed to host major international competitions, including the 2025 Junior Pan American Games.
