Princess Charlene of Monaco, president of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, visited Collège Charles III on Tuesday morning for the second edition of a creative jersey design contest that will be worn by the national U16 rugby team at the Dubai International Tournament in late November.
Organized by the Monegasque Rugby Federation in partnership with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and the National Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports, the contest brought together nearly 160 students from 6e to 3e classes.
Guided by their visual-arts teachers, the students spent five weeks designing jerseys that incorporated the symbols of Monaco and South Africa, along with the logos of the Federation and the Foundation.
Accompanied by her brother Gareth Wittstock, Secretary General of the Princess Charlene Foundation, the Princess warmly congratulated the 158 participants and praised the creativity of the 17 finalists before awarding the three laureates.

The grand prize went to Yohann Fonkoa, a 3e student, whose design will be worn by the U16 national team in Dubai and will soon receive a unique jersey signed by the players.
Princess Charlene then exchanged with the students and signed their models in an atmosphere filled with joy, sharing, and the values of sport that are so dear to her.
