Princess Charlene of Monaco Visits Animal Shelter, Highlights Ongoing Improvements

Princess Charlene of Monaco paid a visit to the Monaco Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) on Thursday, December 18, where she met with staff members and board directors to discuss advancements in animal welfare initiatives.

The princess, who serves as president of the organization, was accompanied by her brother, Gareth Wittstock, the SPA's vice president, as well as Camille Gottlieb and Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy. During the outing, she reviewed recent enhancements at the Peille shelter, including refurbishments aimed at improving conditions for the animals and creating a more welcoming environment for potential adopters and visitors.

The gathering provided an opportunity for open dialogue on the shelter's operations and future plans, underscoring a shared commitment to animal care. Participants described the afternoon as one marked by warmth, kindness and generosity in support of the broader cause of animal protection.
