Monaco’s Princess Grace Hospital Centre (CHPG) is setting the stage for a new era with its ambitious five-year strategic plan, “Ambition 2025-2030.” Unveiled on June 27, this visionary roadmap outlines how the hospital aims to redefine healthcare in the Principality through innovation, excellence, and sustainability.
At the heart of CHPG’s transformation is a commitment to public health, emphasizing personalized and integrated care. The hospital is expanding its services to meet the needs of an aging population, including the launch of a dedicated neurology unit. Efforts to streamline emergency department admissions, particularly for elderly patients, are also underway—offering direct admission routes and dedicated communication channels for healthcare providers, all designed to reduce bottlenecks and improve patient flow.
Embracing cutting-edge technology forms the second pillar of the plan. CHPG is advancing robotic surgery capabilities and incorporating artificial intelligence into diagnostics, including pathology and MRI analysis. This tech-forward approach is complemented by coordinated care pathways that consolidate testing and consultations, ensuring patients receive efficient, comprehensive treatment.
Beyond medical care, CHPG is focused on enhancing patient experience with smart living spaces for those losing autonomy and real-time digital feedback tools. Accessibility improvements and tailored staff training underline the hospital’s commitment to inclusivity, while new concierge services aim to attract and support healthcare professionals in a competitive environment.
Sustainability rounds out the plan, with CHPG pledging to reduce its environmental impact through innovative waste management and phasing out harmful gases—efforts that already resulted in a significant reduction in CO2 emissions last year.
Scheduled to complete its first phase by 2026, the hospital’s new HQE-certified building promises modern, single-occupancy rooms and state-of-the-art facilities, symbolizing Monaco’s commitment to future-ready healthcare.
