On Tuesday, June 11, the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) unveiled its cutting-edge control room, an event graced by the presence of Prince Albert II.
This advanced surveillance center now adheres to the highest standards for safeguarding property and individuals within the Resort. This initiative underscores the group's unwavering commitment to maintaining top-tier security and prestige in the Principality.
Operational since May 5, the new control center (CC) offers comprehensive visibility across the entire site, ensuring swift action in emergencies. Operating 24/7, it is designed to anticipate, prevent, and manage potential risks effectively.
Over 1,200 Surveillance Cameras
Equipped with more than 1,200 permanent surveillance cameras and comprehensive management of all radio communications, the security CC meets international standards. The team, consisting of fourteen operators and four coordinators, is overseen by the director and his deputy.
SBM employees can report security incidents through a dedicated phone number. Initially tested on New Year’s Eve and fully operational during the Monaco Grand Prix, this system centralizes all activities, including handling suspicious behavior and property-related incidents.
Jérôme Resibeau, Director of SBM Security, highlighted the critical role of the CC to Monaco Info: “We can respond and deploy staff to various locations at crucial moments. Everything is monitored in real-time, with video surveillance complemented by constant communication with law enforcement.”
At the inauguration, Stéphane Valeri, CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, emphasized the importance of security: “The safety of our operations has become increasingly vital over the years. Alongside the stability of our political system, the quality of our healthcare, and our education system, it is one of the pillars of Monaco’s appeal.”
