In Monaco, municipal leaders are increasingly targeting youth programming to address systemic gender stereotypes before they take hold.
At the Mini Club du Larvotto - a seaside municipal day center for children - Chloé Boscagli, Monaco's Third Deputy Mayor in charge of Youth and Gender Equality, alongside Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women's Rights, convened an interactive discussion with young attendees centered on equality between girls and boys.
The session provided children with a structured environment to openly discuss gender roles, the representation of women across traditionally male-dominated professional sectors, and female role models across history and modern society.
Organized as part of broader educational outreach surrounding International Day of the Girl Child, the initiative underscores a key policy strategy within the Principality: fostering civic literacy and dismantling entrenched social biases early through direct engagement, active listening, and open discourse.
