Today, we turn the spotlight onto Shiv Vikram Khemka, the latest inductee into the prestigious Monaco 40 Over 40 list. This honor underscores Khemka's enduring commitment to creating value not only in the business world but also in society and people's lives.

As Vice-Chairman of SUN Group, a revered family enterprise boasting diverse interests over its 120-year history, Khemka oversees a truly global operation. From India to distant corners of the world including Latin America, West Africa, the Middle East, Russia, Ukraine, Central and South-East Asia, Japan, and China, SUN Group leaves its footprint in asset management, natural resources, green infrastructure, and technology investments.

SUN Group since the mid-1990s has played an instrumental role in pioneering venture capital businesses in India and helping bring global players like Sequoia to India's vibrant startup ecosystem. SUN has recently invested in SandboxAQ, entering the emerging Quantum and AI space.

Beyond the world of deep tech, SUN is active in the realm of sustainable energy. SUN Mobility is an innovator in India's battery-as-a-service space, backed by technology titan Bosch. Furthermore, SUN has established a presence in the EV solid-state battery industry, with a significant stake in Prologium, alongside Daimler as a notable investor.

Khemka chairs a global entrepreneurship challenge that has sparked the aspirations of over a million entrepreneurs and curated a staggering USD 600 million in perks and rewards.

His impact extends into education and leadership development as well. Through the Global Education and Leadership Foundation (tGELF), Khemka has touched the lives of over 25 million students worldwide, fostering the next generation of global leaders. In collaboration with Global Citizen, tGELF helped raise over USD 6.4 billion in commitments in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Khemka's commitment to education doesn't stop there. He is vice chairman of the Board of Governors of Junior Achievement Worldwide, on the board of the Brookings Centre for Universal Education, and maintains strong ties with institutions like the Wharton School, the Lauder Institute, and the Centre for the Advanced Study of India.

Khemka's relentless efforts have drawn international acclaim, earning him titles like “Global Leader for Tomorrow” by the World Economic Forum, and accolades from renowned institutions like Tufts University and the Wharton School of Business.

Fluent in seven languages, including Portuguese, Khemka's global outlook is evident in his work. He is a prominent figure in numerous prestigious global councils and organizations, tirelessly advocating for education, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration

Khemka's life outside of work is equally impressive. An honorary black belt holder from the Japanese Aikido Federation, Khemka serves as the chairman of the Aikido Aikikai Federation of India, embodying Aikido's core principles of discipline, respect, and harmony.

A graduate of Eton College, Brown University, and the Wharton School of Business, Khemka extends his passion for education to his philanthropic activities. As a Trustee of the Nand & Jeet Khemka Foundation and the Nabha Foundation, he fosters innovative collaborations and development initiatives in India and beyond.

As we recognize Khemka's extraordinary journey and his recent Monaco 40 Over 40 honor, it's evident that he is more than a businessman. A compassionate visionary, dedicated educator, and fervent philanthropist he exemplifies the award's ethos. So here's to Shiv Vikram Khemka, a true standout in our global society.
