In Monaco, it's not just the restaurants and night skies that are star-studded. Every summer, the Principality's seaside hosts some of the world's biggest stars, performing unforgettable concerts during the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.
The Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival embodies the cultural and human adventure initiated by François Blanc, the founder of Société des Bains de Mer, offering dreams in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
Since 1974, every July and August, the organisers of this major event, a tradition in the Principality, curate a sumptuous programme of concerts catering to every taste and generation.
Monaco reverberates to the beats of legendary artists who perform back-to-back, delivering unforgettable performances. Past performers have included Rod Stewart, Deep Purple, Mariah Carey, Santana, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore, Christine & The Queens, and many more.
The Festival not only attracts the biggest stars from every musical genre but also serves as a launchpad for young talents like Jamie Cullum, Rihanna, Mika, and Alicia Keys.
With a mix of standing and seated concerts, solo artists, bands, and cabaret shows, the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival evolves with the times, offering new and unexpected experiences each season.
Originally held exclusively at the Salle des Etoiles, the Festival has now become a roving event, featuring concerts in various iconic Monte-Carlo venues since 2021. These include the Place du Casino, specially configured for the occasion, and the Opéra Garnier, alongside its traditional home at the Sporting. This evolution led to its name change from the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival to the Monte-Carlo Summer Festival.
The Salle des Etoiles is one of Europe's most captivating concert halls, with a retractable roof that opens in minutes, offering an incredible view of the night sky for memorable concerts under the stars.
The Opéra Garnier, a miniature replica of the famed Paris Opera, boasts unique views of the Mediterranean, making it one of the Principality's most special venues.
The recently renovated Place du Casino, enhanced by the One Monte-Carlo complex in 2020, now features a world-class event space, with removable palm trees providing a modern and dynamic setting for top-tier performances.
