Monaco Voice: Can you share a bit about your journey into yoga and Pilates?

Nadine Graves: My life changed completely after a yoga retreat in the Jura mountains in 2015. That experience led me to the Yogalife Teacher Training Course with Sanjeev Bhanot in 2016. I’ve since pursued additional certifications and continue to grow as a teacher and a person.
Monaco Voice: What makes your programs unique, and how do you tailor them to meet individual needs?
Nadine Graves: I always start by asking my clients what they need. Each class is customized to ensure they feel motivated and excel in their journey. It’s all about genuinely caring and creating an experience that comes from the heart.
Monaco Voice: How should one choose between yoga and Pilates?
Nadine Graves: Yoga is ideal for those seeking mindfulness and self-development, focusing on breath and inner growth. Pilates is perfect for fitness enthusiasts, those recovering from injuries, or anyone seeking a mindful yet dynamic body-mind connection.
Monaco Voice: The festive season can be stressful. What advice do you have for maintaining balance during this time?
Nadine Graves: Enjoy the festivities without guilt! It’s important to listen to your body and its needs. Frustration is the body’s enemy. It’s the period to learn to let go and enjoy.
… however, It’s essential to move your body daily, practice gratitude, and stay mindful. Start your day with breathwork, stretching, and hot water with lemon. Simple tips like taking apple cider vinegar or choosing low-sugar drinks can also make a big difference.
Monaco Voice: How do you guide clients in combining physical practice with an optimal diet?
Nadine Graves: I recommend getting a blood test to understand your health better. Mindful eating in a calm environment is key, as is staying hydrated throughout the day.
Monaco Voice: What’s an ideal daily routine for someone with a busy lifestyle?
Nadine Graves: Begin your day with 10 minutes of meditation, breathing exercises, and affirmations. Take mini breaks, get fresh air, stay hydrated, and eat healthily to keep your energy levels high.
Monaco Voice: What are some quick tips for staying balanced in a hectic life?
Nadine Graves: Positive affirmations and mantras are essential. They boost confidence, restore focus, and bring inner peace. Pair them with deep, conscious breaths to remain calm and centered in any situation.
