This season, getting around Monaco just got easier. With summer on the horizon and major events lining up on the calendar, the Principality has launched the new TAXI MONACO app—a sleek, user-friendly digital platform that connects passengers with licensed taxis in just a few clicks.
Unveiled during a press conference at the Ministry of State on April 8, the app is the result of a collaboration between the Government and Skyline, a Monegasque tech company born at the Monaco Boost incubator. It reflects the Principality’s commitment to modernizing public services under the Extended Monaco digital strategy.
Seamlessly integrated with the official Taxis de Monaco network, the app is more than just a ride-booking tool. Available in French, English, and Italian, it allows users to instantly book a cab, track the driver in real-time, chat directly, pay securely via smartphone, and even access receipts. Users can also leave reviews, helping to elevate service standards across the board.
“We believe this is a game-changer for the industry,” says Marc Brezzo, President of A.E.T.I.M., highlighting the enthusiasm among independent taxi operators. Already, two-thirds of the city’s taxis have adopted the system.
With innovative features like shared business accounts, parental controls, and movement tracking, the app is tailored for both individual and corporate use. Plus, the newly launched www.taximonaco.mc website complements the app with tools like fare estimates and network info.
Although the platform won’t eliminate rush-hour challenges, it offers a welcome leap toward smarter urban mobility. With 95 taxis now on the road, and 28 new vehicles added for the season, the Principality is stepping into a more connected, efficient future—one ride at a time.
So next time you’re heading to a gala, lunch in Larvotto, or a night at the casino—just tap, book, and go.
