The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Concludes an Era

On Thursday, August 6, H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the closing concert of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s summer season in the Cour d’Honneur of the Prince’s Palace. The evening brought together musical director Kazuki Yamada and pianist Alexandre Kantorow for a program dedicated to the works of Franz Liszt and Maurice Ravel.

The performance carried profound significance for the cultural institution, marking the final appearance of Kazuki Yamada in his role as the artistic and musical director of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Against the historic architectural backdrop of the palace, the repertoire served as a fitting culmination to his tenure, showcasing the ensemble's refined artistry under his direction.
