The world’s tennis elite will return to the Principality this spring as the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters prepares for its 119th edition, taking place from 4 to 12 April at the iconic Monte-Carlo Country Club. This year’s tournament promises one of its strongest line-ups in recent history, with nine of the world’s top ten players expected to compete.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will headline the draw, joined by world number two Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who reached the final of the Australian Open earlier this year. Also confirmed are top contenders Alexander Zverev, Lorenzo Musetti, Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Bublik. In total, 18 of the ATP’s top 20 players are expected to take part, underlining the tournament’s prestige on the clay-court calendar.

Local interest will be particularly strong this year thanks to Monégasque player Valentin Vacherot, who enters the main draw directly after a breakthrough season in 2025 that saw him reach his first ATP Tour final. Meanwhile, three-time Monte-Carlo champion Stefanos Tsitsipas returns to a tournament where he has enjoyed remarkable success.

The competition will feature a 56-player singles draw — including 45 direct acceptances, seven qualifiers and four wild cards — as well as 28 doubles teams. The official draw will take place on 3 April.

Beyond the courts, players will once again benefit from a dedicated village at the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, fully privatised for the event and expanded this year with a 320-square-metre gym and new relaxation spaces. Spectators will also enjoy enhanced facilities, including redesigned public areas and additional screens throughout the venue.

Innovation remains central to the tournament’s experience, with the Hawk-Eye Electronic Line Calling Live system returning alongside a new HawkVision broadcast setup offering immersive courtside perspectives.

Alongside world-class tennis, the tournament will continue its charitable commitment through the Points for Change initiative, supporting breast cancer patients treated at the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace.

With a powerful player field, cutting-edge technology and Monaco’s unmistakable Riviera backdrop, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters once again promises to be one of the most anticipated events of the tennis season.
