Tour de France 2024: Launch of Official Website for Monaco-Nice Stage

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, Monaco will host the 21st and final stage of the 111th Tour de France, an individual time trial between the Principality and Nice that could be decisive for the overall victory. This major event will attract thousands of cycling enthusiasts, necessitating meticulous planning and numerous adjustments, particularly regarding traffic and public transportation.

To provide detailed information about the stage and its related activities, guide visitors on how to access and navigate Monaco, and assist residents in planning their travels, the Princely Government has launched a dedicated website: https://letouramonaco.gouv.mc/.

The website offers practical details about the stage route, schedules, various events (advertising caravan, special operations, etc.), transportation options to and within the Principality (train, bus, bicycle, individual vehicle/parking), and anticipated impacts on local mobility. A link to download the Citymapper app is also available to facilitate travel.

The "Around the Tour" section, aimed particularly at visitors to Monaco, provides ideas to explore the Destination and extend their experience beyond the Tour de France (Larvotto beach, Grimaldi Forum's major summer exhibition "Turner, the Sublime Legacy," museums, walks, etc.).

Lastly, the "Monaco and the Tour de France" section highlights the close relationship with the race - the country has hosted the Tour 11 times and been a stage city 6 times - and cycling in general (focusing on the numerous professional riders residing in the Principality, various cycling events, the MonaBike bike-sharing service, etc.).
