Upgrading Moving Walkways in Galerie Prince Pierre
June 18, 2024
As part of the mechanical connections renewal plan initiated in 2020 and its ongoing mobility policy, the Princely Government will replace the six moving walkways in Galerie Prince Pierre, adding to the 50 devices already upgraded.
This heavily trafficked gallery connects the train station to Lazare Sauvaigo Alley.
The replacement work is scheduled to start on June 19, 2024, and will be completed by April 30, 2025. During this period, some of the moving walkways will remain operational to ensure smooth transit, alongside pedestrian pathways that will be available at all times.
The mechanical walkways, originally installed in 2000, will be upgraded to more efficient models with technology that enables automatic restarting in the event of an emergency stop.
