A mixed bag of social media reactions has greeted a viral Instagram video featuring F1 champion Max Verstappen. The footage, which has garnered over 1.5 million views in less than 24 hours, shows Verstappen driving an Aston Martin Valkyrie. The racing star is captured at the wheel along the Nice-Nord section of the A8 autoroute, seemingly headed towards his residence in Monaco.
The controversy arises when the car's speedometer shows 124 kph while passing through the Canta-Galet tunnel, where the speed limit is 90 kph. As a result, social media comments have ranged from admiration to criticism of Verstappen's driving behavior.
Worth noting is the hypercar's eye-watering 2.7 million euro price tag, a reflection of its predominantly carbon-fiber construction. The video was reportedly filmed by Mark Cox, a personal trainer and friend of Verstappen.
