As urban landscapes undergo relentless transformation and architectural foundations shift, a fundamental question remains: what endures of a place when its physical structure evolves?
To explore this transition, the Direction des Affaires Culturelles is presenting the exhibition "Mémoire des lieux," scheduled to run from October 1, 2026, to January 24, 2027, at the Salle d'exposition located on Quai Antoine Ier. Organized by the Direction des Affaires Culturelles and curated by Célia Bernasconi, Director of the Institut du Patrimoine, the exhibition invites visitors to experience Monaco through an alternative lens.
The showcase features photographs, monumental works, audiovisual installations, and contemporary creations that capture a city in perpetual mutation. Within this framework, past narratives, physical traces, and artistic expressions converge as fragments of a living memory.
Gabriel-Noé Rosticher, an alumnus of the Pavillon Bosio, participates as the invited artist, presenting an unreleased film that proposes a sensitive cartography of the Principality bridging visible spaces with typically invisible places. Additionally, the scenography is executed by Louise Chatelain and Théophile Sargenti under the "Décors" program of the Pavillon Bosio.
