The Commission Consultative des Jeunes (CCJ) held its eighth session on June 11, 2026, at the Lycée Rainier III. The meeting, presided over by M. Lionel Beffre, Minister of Interior, served as a platform for members to present findings from work conducted since November 2025 by various sub-commissions and working groups.
The CCJ, established as a consultative body to foster dialogue between the youth of the Principality and public authorities, continues its mandate to analyze and propose solutions on matters directly affecting young residents.
During the session, the commission presented a series of recommendations aimed at enhancing support for youth development. Key areas addressed included academic and vocational guidance, the promotion of civic and associative engagement, the mechanisms of student representation, and access to athletic activities. Members also proposed the development of improved communication frameworks to better inform youth about available opportunities and resources.

Discussions regarding academic guidance highlighted a need for bolstered support throughout a student's educational trajectory. Specific proposals included the implementation of dedicated time for guidance counseling and the promotion of peer-to-peer testimonials and exchanges. These recommendations align with current initiatives managed by the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports.
Beyond formal guidance and educational structures, the commission engaged in broader policy discussions concerning current issues facing today's youth, including the use of social media and the debate surrounding a potential prohibition of these platforms for individuals under the age of 15.
